eDOCS users working from more locations rely on a DM connection that does not change performance level when switching networks.
DM Connect Manager provides an automated connection system that connects users to the nearest located DM server. The system updates the DM user settings and registry keys to sustain a stable DM performance. Reports with details about logon, time, user account, PC name, Windows version etc. can be extracted from the DM database. A great help for the support team when troubleshooting an issue.
DM Connect Manager is developed for large Enterprise installations that has multiple geographical locations with each their DM server.
DM Connect Manager (DMCM) works with an eDOCS DM distributed architecture and is based on the MS Active Directory function Site. Each Site is based on networks.
This is how it works:
1. DMCM registers the Active Directory Site logon is performed on.
2. A report will be sent to the DM database with detailed user account and connection information.
3. The eDOCS client is now connected to the most optimal DM server and the intentional configuration will automatically be created. DMCM communicates with the user if a better connection is found on the current network and a fresh logon is required.
Data reports can easily be extracted from the DM database and help admins and support staff when troubleshooting an issue. The faster insight, the less support costs for the company.
Software for DM Connect Manager is distributed with a small MSI package. Our Professional Services Team will provide the build of the file for your software distribution system. The connection settings will be updated from the centrally controlled settings.
Geographical widespread clients can now easily be updated by the DM administrator by using the distributed eDOCS architecture.
